Actor
Leon begin his time in the theatrical field starting at California Shakespeare Theatre's Summer Conservatory that was housed at Oakland School for the Arts the summer of 2015. After taking the camp he was blessed with the opportunity to audition for the role of Macduff's Son for Berkeley Rep's production of Macbeth that starred Frances Mcdormand and Conleth Hill in the notorious roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. After being cast'd and with it be an amazing experience for him he decided he want to make that be his career past high school.
So Leon, with the help of a mentor auditioned for Oakland School for the Arts for Theatre for high school. He got his letter with full excitement and was ready to walk into the doors of a school that was going to help him hone his craft and provide him tools so that he would one day be a successful actor like alumni Zendaya (Disney's Shake it Up & K.C. Undercover) & Tati Gabrielle (Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). Now going into his Senior at the school not only has premiered in multiple of the departments mainstage productions he has also grow a passion for the more production-side of theatre. But no matter if Leon gets his dream of starting his own theatre company someday, he will always and forever be an actor!

Oakland School for the Arts King Lear | Edmund Directed by Elena Wright This was Leon's first ever production, a 45 min cut performance of William Shakespeare's KING LEAR where he played the bastard Edmund. With the rage of his character and amazing stage combat Leon knew he wanted to be an actor. |
Feb 2016 | Berkeley Rep
Roda Theatre Macbeth | Macduff's Son | Directed by Daniel Sullivan With the support of Cal Shakes recommendation Leon was able to score his first paying acting gig at the age of 13 in the production of Macbeth at Berkeley Rep. This show starred Frances Mcdormand and Conleth Hill. This show really called a lot of him, with the amazing training from Cal Shakes and little theatre experience he had to put his all into ever 60+ performance. |

Oakland School for the Arts Romeo & Juliet | Friar Lawrence | Directed by Dave Maier Leon then returned to Cal Shakes the next summer to see familiar faces but open to a different experience. He played Friar Lawrence in another 45 min cut performance of ROMEO & JUILIET.

Marin E, Greene Black Box Theatre Orestiea: Agagamemon Watchmen's Friend Adapted by Matthew Travisano Directed by Amy Haven Within in Leon's first year at OSA was able to be apart of the biggest project within the Theatre department, the department Chair (now Artistic Director) Matthew Travisano's adaptation of the The Oresteia: Part One (Agamemnon) which was directed by his mentor and OSA faculty alumna Amy Haven.

Greene Black Box Theatre ...And Jesus Moonwalks the Mississippi Damascus/Demeter By Marcus Gardley Directed by Matthew Travisano Returning to OSA in the Fall did Leon auditioned and was casted in a show that changed his life forever. From experiencing giving another life but in the body of a women. Long search for a child that you don't even know is a life and having this be during the Civil War are just someone the reasons Leon enjoyed performing in this show. Bruns Amphitheater black odysessy | Malachai (Und.) | by Marcus Gardley Directed by Eric Ting Leon was, once again, graced with the pleasure of having his first understudy gig be with his theatre family for the production of "black odysessy" for the role of Malachai. This was a new area for Leon in terms of theatre but still did he bring his authentic self to the table.

Greene Black Box Theatre Everybody |By Braden Jacob-Jenkins| Somebody | Directed by Sologne Patterson Ending off his high school career, Leon enjoyed playing Somebody in Branden Jacob-Jenkins "Everybody". Being the hardest show he has done by learning 9 different tracks and having to be able to play them on command depending on the role he randomly chose night after night for each perfoemance. |

Throckmorton Theatre The Music Man | Marcellus Directed by Amy Haven Choreographed by June Cooperman Music Direction By Desire Bogas Leon continued his work with his mentor Ms.Haven in her inaugural show as their Director of Youth Programs at Throckmorton Theatre THE MUSIC MAN as Marcellus. This was Leon's first mainstage musical and with the amazing tight knit community of Throckmorton he enjoyed his time and would be thrilled to perform their again! In this cut, with me heading, did we implemented a lot of music so bring out the essences of this story.
